FAQ

Common questions.

Everything designers ask before their first run — what SpecForm OS generates, how the workflow holds up, and what Beta access includes.

What is SpecForm OS?

SpecForm OS is an AI-native operating system for technical fashion development. It converts garment reference photos or sketches into a structured technical package — technical flat illustrations, photorealistic 3-view renders, measurement annotations, BOM drafts, and a factory-ready tech-pack preview — in one connected workflow.

What can I create with SpecForm OS?

Front, back, and side technical flats and photorealistic renders; interactive measurement annotations; auto-drafted bills of materials with fiber content, closures, trims, and labels; and a composer-style tech-pack preview you can export for your factory.

Does SpecForm OS replace technical designers?

No. Every output is an editable draft, not a final deliverable. SpecForm OS distinguishes observed structure from inferred detail and keeps human review at every step — it supports a technical designer's judgment instead of replacing it.

What inputs does SpecForm OS accept?

Product photos, garment images, existing technical flats, or sketches, along with structured context about style, category, and construction intent.

Who is SpecForm OS for?

Small brands, independent designers, and resource-constrained fashion teams who need faster execution with less translation risk between design and production.

How does the SpecForm OS workflow work?

Three phases: Input (capture garment reference and context), Interpret (generate technical illustrations and 3-view renders, separating observed from inferred structure), and Compose (review editable measurement and BOM drafts, then assemble and export a tech-pack preview).

What are Quick Actions in SpecForm OS?

Quick Actions are one-click generations for when you only need a single asset — a photorealistic 3-view render or a clean technical flat — from your reference images, without building a full tech pack. You can continue any Quick Action result into a complete tech pack later.

Can SpecForm OS generate construction callout diagrams?

Yes. SpecForm OS produces construction callout diagrams — zoom-detail panels that magnify visible construction such as stitch types, closures, trims, and seams — so factories can read your construction intent directly from the tech pack.

What do the observed and inferred labels mean?

SpecForm labels every generated measurement and BOM value by its source: observed values were read directly from your reference photos, inferred values were proposed from garment category and construction rules, and unknown values can't be determined from the reference. That way you verify the few numbers that matter instead of re-checking everything.

How do I get access to SpecForm OS?

SpecForm OS is live in open beta. Create a free account and start generating tech packs right away.

How much does SpecForm OS cost?

Three beta plans: Beta Solo at £15/month (500 credits, ~10 tech packs), Beta Brand at £30/month (1,000 credits, ~20 packs), and Beta Studio at £80/month (3,000 credits, ~60 packs). A tech pack run spends 50 credits, and one-off credit top-up packs are available anytime on top of your monthly allowance. Beta pricing is locked in for founding subscribers.
